Meet The Face Behind WDJ Photo
I’m W. David Johnston, the proud owner of WDJPhoto.
I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.
It became clear to me early on in life that I’m a very visual person, as I could ‘see’ things others missed. However, it was also evident that I would never be a great artist or sculptor after a series of failed attempts, so I turned my attention to photography.
Cameras ‘see’ the world in a whole new way compared to the naked eye, which inspired me to uncover the scope of this richly creative medium. So, as a shutterbug, I invested copious time in learning the principles of composition and perfecting my craft before offering my photography skills professionally.
Over the years, I’ve made a few forays into entrepreneurship, but this is the first time I’ve tried something purely creative. My desire to express myself artistically has helped me transition from a nine-to-five career into a fulfilling and long-awaited retirement.
My photography business provides me with an opportunity to maintain independence and nurture my soul while sharing my work with the public and offer satisfaction guaranteed.
Therefore, I strive to consistently add value to my customers’ projects, and as an individual, I believe what sets me apart is my integrity.
I also attribute my success to staying true to my calling as a photographer by capturing the ‘generally unseen’ beauty in the forms and colors that proliferate everywhere.
When I’m not behind my lens, I love writing, singing, golfing, fishing, and rockhounding. I also support causes that stand up for native rights and protect the environment, which in many ways are two sides of the same coin.
I’ve enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
If you or someone you know could benefit from my expertise as a landscape photographer in Westminster, British Columbia, I invite you to get in touch. Please visit my website at www.WDJPhoto.com.
